R&M provided grant writing and environmental services to fund the Saint Paul Harbor Renovations, Phase IA and water, sewer and electrical extensions at the small boat harbor.
R&M is providing research services to identify eligible grant funding and low-cost financing for CIP projects and the City’s legislative priorities, as well as tracking developments with the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act.
R&M provided environmental support, including NEPA compliance and permitting, for replacement of a 1950s-era dock owned by the FAA on Biorka Island, near Sitka.
R&M provided environmental support for a bridge replacement along the historic Denali Highway. The team evaluated Rock Creek Bridge, Denali Highway, and multiple other historical and archeological sites and districts for potential effects as a result of the proposed project.
R&M provided Alaska Aerospace Corporation with the support needed to prepare an Environmental Assessment meeting FAA guidelines and NEPA regulations to expand launching capabilities at the Pacific Spaceport Complex-Alaska (formerly Kodiak Launch Complex).
R&M led the collaborative effort to obtain an Incidental Harassment Authorization from the National Marine Fisheries Service in accordance with the Marine Mammal Protection Act and Endangered Species Act.
R&M led the environmental permitting effort for this large-scale bridge project. Coordination and consultation was required with USCG, ADF&G, USACE and ADNR.
R&M was responsible for obtaining project permits, including the complex USACE permit that involved substantial coordination and consultation with USFWS and NMFS.
This project realigned the highest AADT road in the state to increase capacity and constructed a new bridge to decrease the grade of the infamous “brake light hill”.
R&M provided construction administration services for this federally-funded project that improved the structural section with a foamed asphalt base and new asphalt surfacing for Runway 16/34, Taxiways A, D and H, Taxilane B and the aprons.
In 2017, FAI was alerted to concentrations of PFAS in the groundwater at the FAI Aircraft Rescue and Firefighting Training Areas. PFAS migration impacted private water wells in the vicinity of the airport.
R&M’s services included a Phase I ESA, an ADEC-approved soil management plan, and field observation and testing during earthwork phases of construction.
