R&M is leading the AMATS Anchorage and Chugiak-Eagle River 2050 Metropolitan Transportation Plan (MTP) to support and develop a transportation network that effectively moves people and goods, maintains residents’ high quality of life and a strong economy, and reflects community priorities. The 2050 MTP will meet all federal requirements, while focusing on developing the area’s transportation future through optimization, collaboration and flexibility with the ability to adapt and evolve through a robust and inclusive public engagement program that will ensure a balance of recommendations between all modes available to residents and businesses within the AMATS area.

The updated transportation plan will provide Anchorage and Chugiak-Eagle River neighborhoods with an adaptable and efficient multi-modal network that is equitable, safe, accessible and reliable, while supporting a thriving and sustainable economy and enhancing and protecting the natural and built environment.

Public Workshop breakout session to answer the questions: What is working? What would you change? and “Everything Bagel” as in “What else do we need to know to improve our transportation network.
