R&M provided IBC special inspections and materials testing for this 30,000 SF facility. We were involved for the verification of soil conditions at bottom of hole through final installation of sand traps in the vehicle exits. R&M’s services included soils inspection and testing, reinforcing steel inspection for footings, buttress walls and slab on grade. During placement of concrete, two R&M team members were on site, one providing project special inspections and the other providing quality assurance materials testing services. Inspection responsibilities also included evaluation of subgrade stability by proof rolling, reinforcing steel epoxy coatings, mechanical coupler installation, inspection of post installed anchors, seismic restraint for equipment and cast-in-place exterior aprons.

R&M’s relationship with MOA inspectors, familiarity with the MOA Special Inspections program, and our standard reporting procedures typically used for DOT&PF projects allowed us to effectively function as the coordinator for DOT&PF, while facilitating and performing required MOA inspections.
