Clark Rosencrans recently joined R&M as Group Manager of Special Inspections. A former R&M employee from 2012 to 2016, Clark has 16 years of construction, materials testing and special inspection experience. He has served as a Senior Special Inspector and Project Manager with responsibility for special inspection and materials testing on a wide variety of public infrastructure projects, including airport, school, harbor and road facilities.

As Group Manager, Clark is responsible for managing R&M’s Special Inspections Group. The work includes on-site observation and supervision of special inspectors to ensure conformance with the contract documents and Chapter 17 of the IBC, for testing and inspection for public and private facilities.

“Special inspections is a good industry to get into. It’s very specialized and technical, and helps the community by ensuring quality infrastructure and buildings. I’m looking forward to getting that message out and helping the Special Inspections Group grow.”

Since his time at R&M, Clark worked for the Municipality of Anchorage as a Structure Inspector and Code Abatement Officer, enforcing permitting requirements, code compliance, and safety and occupancy regulations for facilities within the Municipality. He also spent time as a Senior Special Inspector at an engineering firm in Colorado, where he performed building and special inspections for a variety of public and private clients.

Since being back at R&M, Clark has conducting special inspections for security vestibule upgrades for numerous Anchorage School District sites; the construction of the Homer Chemical Storage Building; and several racking installations.

“I love Alaska and R&M is hands down the best company I’ve worked for as far as any kind of firm. I’m happy to be back doing the work I enjoy in such a great place.”
