The following employees at R&M have been promoted, reflecting their years of experience and expertise in their respective fields.

Morgan Welch, PE

Morgan Welch, PE is now a Senior Project Engineer. Morgan has been with R&M since 2009, starting as an Engineering Intern in the firm’s Engineering Department, with his most recent position as a Utilities Project Engineer. He has been an engineer in Alaska for 16 years with experience covering transportation projects, rural and urban water and sewer utilities, and waterfront and site development projects. Morgan has designed water distribution, sewer collection and disposal systems, storm and drainage facilities, rural and urban roadways, and pedestrian facilities. He takes pride in providing cost effective designs that meet the needs of the communities they serve.

Matt Majoros, PE

Matt Majoros, PE has been promoted to Senior Project Engineer in R&M’s Airport Engineering Group. Matt has been with R&M for 15 years. He has 16 years of engineering design experience in Alaska, nearly all of which has focused on airport improvement projects. Matt has provided design services at more than 15 of Alaska’s airports in a designer, lead engineer and project manager capacity across his career. He is skilled in the design process and development of project deliverables to facilitate the successful construction of airport improvement projects.

Brian Mullen, PE

Brian Mullen, PE is now a Senior Geotechnical Engineer. Brian has 15 years of experience, 13 of which have been at R&M. He plans field explorations and laboratory testing, and performs engineering analyses for foundation design, deep ground improvement, pavement design, seismic hazard assessment and mitigation, foundation repairs, slope and settlement stability, retaining wall design, and effects of seasonal frost or permafrost. Brian also supports a variety of environmental projects, including site assessment, chemical sampling and excavation monitoring activities.

Taryn Oleson-Yelle, AICP

Taryn Oleson-Yelle, AICP has been promoted to Senior Planner. Taryn has been with R&M since 2014 and has 11 years of experience working with Alaskans to improve their quality of life through land use, recreation, transportation and community planning. She is a skilled facilitator and educator who successfully communicates complex technical concepts with the public to develop beneficial, community-supported projects. Taryn excels in merging results of detailed technical analysis with the vision, goals and policies of the community to create accurate, actionable plans. 

Mick Boyle, CESCL, WAQTC

Mick Boyle, CESCL, WAQTC is now an Engineering Associate. Mick has been with R&M for five years, starting as an Engineering Technician in the firm’s Construction Administration Group providing materials inspection and testing services. He has served as assistant project engineer, office engineer, con­struction inspector and materials technician in support of highway, airport, waterfront and railroad projects throughout Alaska. Mick’s experience includes also performing on-site inspection, testing and documentation services.
