Lauren Southerland, EIT
Lauren has six years of geological and geotechnical engineering experience. She specializes in geologic hazards assessment, field mapping, shallow and deep foundation design, slope stability and seepage modeling. Lauren has taken numerous highly technical, complex projects from start to end within strict deadlines and quality constraints. She has worked on a variety of projects that involve geotechnical design recommendations and analysis, including slope stability, bearing capacity, axial and lateral pile analysis, bearing capacity, settlement and liquefaction. Lauren is also well-versed in using Arc GIS to compile data and create risk assessment maps for a variety of environments, from coastal and frozen ground to high-risk landslide and rockfall environments.
