Dave Whitfield

Senior Planner

Dave has 20 years of land use planning, subdivision and platting, code analysis, private development, code compliance and implementation for public and private development projects. The former Municipality of Anchorage Planning and Zoning Manager and Platting Officer, he specializes in community and economic development through comprehensive review of local and regional projects, including site planning, subdivisions, conditional uses, variances, and dedication of public facilities such as new roadways. Dave is also a regular presenter on development projects to agencies, community councils and community stakeholder groups.

    Let's see...Croatia, Japan, Vietnam, Australia and New Zealand to name a few.
  • What are you most likely doing on the weekend?
    You'll usually find me at the gym on weekends....and watching an Oregon Ducks game.
  • What is a fun fact few people know about you?
    I can make balloon animals.
  • When you were a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up?
    Wildlife Biologist- I grew up hunting and fishing with a love for the outdoors.
  • What is one skill you are currently working on?
    I've been training for the WWC (World Wordle Championships). Haha.
