Stacey Frutiger, EIT Joins R&M’s Environmental Group

Stacey Frutiger, EIT recently joined R&M as an Environmental Specialist in the firm’s Environmental Group. Stacey will be responsible for environmental compliance tasks, including National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) impact analyses, regulatory permitting, environmental baseline monitoring, Phase I/II Environmental Site Assessments, general contaminated sites work, storm water management and other environmental services for a variety of civil infrastructure projects.

Stacey brings five years of environmental consulting experience to R&M, with a broad range of experience in air quality compliance and permitting, water quality monitoring, storm water conveyance design, and soil contamination for both government agencies and private industry. She has also prepared NEPA documents for federally-funded projects in Anchorage and around the state; conducted air dispersion modeling; and prepared permit applicability analyses for private clients in the resource development sector.

Since joining R&M, Stacey has supported environmental efforts for the Northeast Trail Connector project in Anchorage, Camp Carroll Environmental Assessment for the Department of Military and Veterans Affairs, and the GCI Fiber Optic Project at the Port of Alaska and Alaska Marine Lines. Her involvement has included storm water compliance, Section 106 Consultation and NEPA document preparation.

Stacey has a B.S. in Civil Engineering from the South Dakota School of Mines and Technology and a M.S. in Environmental Engineering from the University of Alaska Fairbanks. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family, hiking, camping in the family RV and traveling to her husband’s home country of Switzerland.
