Staff Engineer

Sean has eight years of construction administration and materials testing experience. He has been responsible for Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP), grade and utility inspections, office engineering and assistant project engineering on airport, highway and waterfront projects throughout Alaska. Prior to working at R&M, Sean worked as an Engineering Technician for the Alaska Department of Transportation & Public Facilities, and a Plan Reviewer for the Municipality of Anchorage. He is fascinated by horizontal construction as engineers rely on fundamental concepts to sustainably improve the infrastructure upon which communities relies.

    Colorado for skiing, Whistler BC for biking and Ireland.
  • If you weren’t doing your current job, what would be your dream job?
    Reviewing technical outdoor equipment or being a Ski Bum and working at a coffee shop.
  • What is a fun fact few people know about you?
    I'm into bird watching and identification.
  • What is one skill you are currently working on?
    Playing drums and getting back into ice skating.
  • What are your favorite books?
    The Audubon Society Field Guide to North American Birds (I never leave town without it!); Surely You're Joking, Mr. Feynman; and The Great Shark Hunt, Hunter S. Thomson.
