Senior Engineering Associate

Sandra has 32 years of engineering and construction experience. She retired from the Alaska Department of Transportation & Public Facilities (DOT&PF) after 11 years, where she was an Engineering Assistant II, supporting projects from pre-construction through construction and close-out. Sandra’s work experience also includes construction and engineering support for projects in Hawaii. Since joining R&M, she has worked as an office engineer on airport and highway improvement projects. Sandra’s field experience and knowledge of DOT&PF procedures and methodologies is extensive and beneficial to any project she works on.

    Scotland, Italy, Nova Scotia and U.S. road trips.

    Spending time with the family, exercising the dogs, shopping and relaxing.

    The real science of things.
  • When you were a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up?
    First, I wanted to be in the Foreign Service. Then, I wanted to be an archaeologist.
  • If you could choose a superpower, what would it be?
    To have a two-way conversation with animals.
