Staff Engineer

Josh has two years of civil engineering experience. A recent transfer to Alaska, he comes to R&M from Houston, Texas where he worked on residential site development projects. This included designing and creating construction plans for multi-acre single family home developments. Josh’s experience includes lot and street layouts, grading, storm drainage design, detention basin design, roadway designs, storm calculations, construction cost estimates and utility designs. He is skilled in the use of Civil 3D and excels in communicating with clients and agencies.

  • What are you most likely doing on the weekend?
    Spending time with my wife and dog, hanging with friends, trying to improve my hunting skills or cheering on the Mississippi State Bulldogs, HailState!
  • What is a fun facet few people know about you?
    I spent my college summers working at a Brie & Goat Cheese plant managed by my dad.
  • What are you curious about?
    The natural world and the wonders it provides for human exploration.
  • When you were a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up?
    I wanted to be a Major League Baseball pitcher for the Angels.
  • What is one skill you are currently working on?
    I have been working on my leadership/communication skills. Being able to help lead a team and communicate in a friendly manner goes a long way with relationships at work, as well in the normal day-to-day.
