Cody Gibson

Remote Sensing Specialist

Cody has nine years of land and hydrographic surveying experience. He specializes in offshore navigation and positioning, bathymetric mapping, LiDAR mapping, UAS surveys, geophysical and geotechnical surveying. Cody is skilled in mobilization and demobilization of large and small survey vessels, and project logistics and operations. He has maintained and overseen survey control for hydrographic and navigation operations. Cody has also installed and monitored high precision positioning systems.

    Deep water research scientist on the R/V Nautilus.
  • What are you curious about?
    That the continental plates drift at about the same rate that fingernails grow.
  • What is one skill you are currently working on?
    The skill of motivation to remodel my home.
  • If you could choose a superpower, what would it be?
    The ability to make anyone dance on command. The only caveat being that I can't control how long they dance or what type of dance move.
