Cody Beckes, PE recently joined R&M as a Project Engineer in the firm’s Surface Transportation Group. Cody will oversee and perform analysis and design tasks related to road and highway projects.

Cody has 10 years of engineering experience on small- and large-scale road improvement projects. He has been involved with design, inspection, analysis and public involvement, as well as field and office survey work. Cody prides himself on attention to detail and developing cost efficient designs. His responsibilities have included grading, utilities, materials cost estimations, on-site inspections, building permit applications and soil testing.
Cody has been involved with numerous road improvement projects in Anchorage and the Matanuska-Susitna Borough (MSB). These include Dimond Way/Say Street/Begich Drive Subdivision, Jenks and Gislason Drive, and Silver Drive and Sasbo Bluff Loop in the MSB; and Ingra and Gambell Paving, and C Street at 20th Drainage Improvements in Anchorage. Cody has a Nuclear Density Gauge Certified.

Cody keeps busy ferrying his kids to their sports activities, baseball in the summer, and hockey and skiing in winter. He also coaches his son’s hockey team and enjoys biking, hiking, golfing, brewing beer and home remodeling projects. He is originally from Minnesota and moved to Alaska after college for the natural beauty and outdoor recreational opportunities Alaska offers.
