Amy Rodman, CESCL recently joined R&M as an Environmental Geologist in the firm’s Earth Sciences Department, resulting in the opening of a new office in Juneau. This expansion allows R&M to better serve their Southeast Alaska clients and provides new opportunities for growth.

“We are excited to have another lifelong Alaskan and University of Alaska Fairbanks graduate joining our team. Amy fits right in with our company culture and long-term commitment to Alaska,” said Len Story, PLS, R&M’s Chief Executive Officer. “Southeast Alaska has always been an important piece of R&M. We have been providing professional services there since 1969 and it is gratifying to re-establish ourselves in Juneau. We look forward to serving our clients and providing Alaskan owned and operated employment to the professionals that help make Alaska stronger.”

Amy will support contaminated site and geotechnical investigation work. She has 16 years of experience in geotechnical and environmental consulting, as well as regulatory experience at ADEC. As a lifelong Alaskan, she draws from her outdoors experience, as well as her education at the University of Alaska Fairbanks, while conducting geotechnical and environmental tasks. Amy’s experience includes fieldwork, laboratory, and office components of consulting and regulatory roles. She has conducted fieldwork from the North Slope to Southeast Alaska and managed contaminated sites located throughout Alaska as a regulator. Amy is experienced with environmental and geotechnical elements of infrastructure-related projects. She understands the value of community and communication within every project, in addition to logistical challenges posed by Alaska’s regional, dynamic weather and terrain. Amy has a B.S. in Geology from the University of Alaska Fairbanks.

“I joined R&M because I wanted to serve Alaskans with my geology and environmental skills,” said Amy. “I wanted to serve with an Alaskan company that is equally committed to their employees as they are to our communities.”

The Juneau office, located at 9107 Mendenhall Mall Road, Suite 304, complements R&M’s other locations in Anchorage and Fairbanks, providing coverage throughout the state. The firm plans to grow this office in the future, adding additional staff and services.

“R&M’s presence in Juneau will provide Southeast Alaska communities with services typically accessible to urban areas. Services that ultimately benefit local economy and infrastructure,” said Amy. “I look forward to growing the Juneau office with professionals who have experience in Southeast Alaska. I’m thrilled for the professional development and geotechnical opportunities, while working with Southeast residents.”
