Survey Technician
In A Nutshell
R&M is looking for team-oriented Survey Technicians to join our respected market-leading Geomatics Department.
As a member of the R&M team, the Survey Technician will perform technical survey tasks during field surveys and assist in processing and mapping in our Anchorage office.
This work can be seasonal and may require overtime hours and travel within Alaska.
The successful applicant will be expected to represent R&M and actively participate in professional organizations and community activities.
The Survey Technicians will report to a Staff Surveyor, Land Surveyor or Senior Land Surveyor, as assigned.
On Any Given Day
- Work as part of a project team, under direction of a Staff Surveyor, Land Surveyor or Senior Land Surveyor.
- Perform field survey data acquisition.
- Use digital levels, total stations, GNSS equipment, hydrographic survey equipment and drones to acquire survey information.
- Assist with download and processing of survey data.
- Participate in project meetings and safety meetings to learn how to operate safely in the field.
- Assist with development of supporting documentation for project survey tasks.
Minimum Qualifications
This position requires high school diploma and a valid Alaska driver’s license. Experience performing survey field work is a plus. Must be capable of performing physical work.
