Joanna Rowell, Colton Jessup, LSIT and Jasmin Dalton, EIT recently joined R&M. Joanna is serving as a Graphic Designer in R&M’s Business Services Department, Colton joins the Land Surveying Group as a Staff Surveyor, and Jasmin is working as a Staff Engineer in the Water Resources Group.
These additions reflect R&M’s continued investment in talent across disciplines to deliver high-quality design, surveying and engineering solutions for Alaska communities and infrastructure.
Joanna has eight years of experience designing visual content across print, digital and motion graphics platforms. As Graphic Designer, she provides print and digital design support to the firm’s internal departments, developing proposal graphics, marketing collateral, infographics, project branding and social media content. Prior to joining R&M, Joanna worked with clients in the mining, education and public health sectors. Her expertise in Adobe Creative Suite and collaborative design strategy supports R&M’s marketing and communications efforts.

Joanna holds an M.S. in Advertising from Boston University and a B.A. in Strategic Communications from Hampton University. She is a member of the American Institute of Graphic Arts. Outside of work, Joanna enjoys exploring Alaska, gardening, camping, and playing video games.
Colton supports the collection, processing and mapping of survey data for projects across Alaska. He brings seven years of field and project experience in surveying and construction management, including work at Red Dog Mine, Kotzebue and Anchorage. Colton’s expertise includes legal and geotechnical documentation, GPS and total station operation, and project oversight.

Colton has a B.S. in Geomatics and an M.S. in Project Management from the University of Alaska Anchorage. He is a Land Surveyor in Training and a member of the Alaska Society of Professional Land Surveyors and Project Management Institute. Colton enjoys fishing, biking and attending church.
Jasmin has four years of experience in civil engineering with a focus on stormwater management, hydraulics and hydrology. As a part of R&M’s Water Resources Group, she supports design of water resource projects across Alaska. Her work includes preparing civil design drawings, developing grading and drainage plans, designing utility connections, performing stormwater analysis and assisting with field work for site visits and inspections. Jasmin previously worked for the USDA Forest Service and private firms, where she produced drainage reports, performed hydraulic modeling, and led site design for recreational and public infrastructure projects.

Jasmin holds a B.S. in Civil Engineering from the University of Utah and an A.S. in Engineering from Salt Lake Community College. She is an Engineer-in-Training and a COR Level 1 Certified Professional. Originally from Switzerland, Jasmin completed an apprenticeship as a bookseller before emigrating. Outside of work, she enjoys camping, cooking, hiking, gardening and going to the lake with her kids.
