Engineering Intern

Tyler has one season of construction administration experience. He has supported various transportation projects across Alaska, including runway extensions, highway improvements and airport rehabilitations. Tyler’s role includes performing materials sampling, testing and processing in R&M’s Anchorage Materials Laboratory, contributing to quality control efforts for asphalt, concrete and embankment materials. He is currently enrolled in the Civil Engineering Program at the University of Alaska Fairbanks and holds WAQTC qualifications.

  • What are you most likely doing on the weekend?
    Downhill skiing, working on cars, riding bikes, fishing, hiking and spending time with my family.
  • If you weren’t doing your current job, what would be your dream job?
    My dream job is being at any job that takes me to interesting places in Alaska.
  • What is a fun fact few people know about you?
    I can ride a unicycle!
  • What is one skill you are currently working on?
    I have been downhill skiing since I was six years old and have been constantly trying to learn new tricks and skills.
  • If you could choose a superpower, what would it be?
    I would choose to be able to teleport.
