Christine White, CPSM has been promoted to Communications Manager at R&M CONSULTANTS, INC. (R&M ).

Christine first joined R&M’s Marketing Department as a Marketing Coordinator in January 2012. As the Communications Manager, she is responsible for the strategic development and implementation of firm communications, public relations and content marketing programs. This includes effective communication strategies to support R&M’s vision, purpose and brand identity; developing and managing the firm’s public relations and media strategy program; working with firm leadership to identify and prepare for key PR opportunities; and developing high-level communication strategies for internal initiatives, policies and change management.

Christine earned her Certified Professional Services Marketer (CPSM) certification in 2015 through the Society for Marketing Professional Services (SMPS), the only organization dedicated to creating business opportunities in the A/E/C industry. The CPSM credential is a certification designed to raise the professional standards and stature of marketing professionals, encourage self-assessment by offering guidelines for achievement in the profession, identify and award recognition to persons who have demonstrated knowledge of the practice, and influence the future direction of the profession.

Christine has more than nine years of business-to-business marketing, including strategic planning, public communications, graphic design, website design and proposal preparation. Since joining R&M, Christine has developed and implemented the firm’s communications and social media plans, strategically aligning our external communication efforts to reflect R&M’s core values, culture and expertise. She has also led the proposal efforts for many of R&M’s current projects, including the Big Lake Pedestrian Study, the Midtown Corridor Improvements: Denali Street Area – Benson to Tudor Road project, and most recently, the 2018 Statewide Hazardous Waste and Environmental Services Term Agreement with the Alaska Department of Transportation and Public Facilities.

Currently, Christine is spearheading R&M’s first bike program committee to help organize bike rides, workshops and other bike-related tasks and initiatives, such as improving the firm’s bike racks and new bike maintenance station. She also leads the firm’s participation in various community bike events, including the city-wide Bike To Work Day and Bike Anchorage. Her efforts have resulted in the League of American Bicyclists recognizing R&M with a Silver-level Bicycle Friendly Business (BFB) award, making R&M one of two Silver-level BFB firms in Alaska.

Christine has a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism & Public Communications from the University of Alaska Anchorage. She is a member of the Society for Marketing Professional Services and currently serves on the Board as the Immediate Past President, and actively participates in events with the Alaska Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America and Associated General Contractors of Alaska.
