Corey Prewett, PE, CESCL Earns Professional Civil Engineering License

Corey Prewett, PE, CESCL, a Project Engineer at R&M, successfully passed the Principles & Practice of Engineering Exam, gaining his Alaska license in Civil Engineering.

“Corey is a such a positive part of the Site Development Group. He is always willing to take on new tasks and help the team,” said Nicole Knox, PE, CESCL, Group Manager of Site Development. “Now that he is a licensed Professional Engineer, he will have the opportunity to assume more project responsibility and lead design.”

Corey has been with R&M since 2016 and has seven years of civil engineering experience in Alaska. He has supported a variety of site development projects, including schools, parks, universities, harbors and other facilities. Corey is experienced in grading and drainage, submittal reviews, specification creation and report review. He is passionate about improving the local community and providing engineering solutions that benefit Alaskans. Projects Corey has been involved with include the Tuntutuliak K-12 School Addition, Cold Bay Snow Removal Equipment and Chemical Storage Buildings Design Services, Taku Park South Gateway and the Girdwood Health Clinic.

“Achieving my professional engineering license is a huge accomplishment for me,” said Corey. “I’m excited for the opportunity to take on more responsibilities at R&M.”

Corey holds a B.S. in Civil Engineering from the University of Alaska Anchorage. He is a life-long Alaskan and enjoys playing board games, cooking, soccer and traveling.
