R&M Consultants, Inc. is a well-established, employee-owned multi-discipline Alaskan firm. Since 1969, R&M has participated in some of Alaska’s most significant and technically challenging infrastructure projects. R&M is a leading provider of Surveying, GIS and Geomatics services to public and private clients throughout Alaska.

R&M is seeking team-oriented geomatics/land surveying interns to join our Geomatics team in support of ongoing civil infrastructure projects throughout Alaska. As a member of the R&M team, our geomatics interns perform a variety of surveying and mapping tasks under the direct supervision of either a Professional Land Surveyor or Land Surveyor in Training.

This is a great opportunity to gain experience in the profession of land surveying, while working on large highway, airport and utility infrastructure projects. Geomatics interns will benefit from direct involvement in the civil infrastructure process, and will be considered for full-time employment upon graduation.

Minimum Qualifications

Must be a Geomatics student in good standing at a University accredited by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology. The ideal candidate will have passed the Fundamentals of Land Surveying Exam. Experience performing field work is a plus. The successful applicant will be required to travel and work in project locations throughout Alaska for extended periods of time during the summer. This work is physical and seasonal, and typically requires overtime hours. A valid Alaska Driver’s License is required.
