R&M Consultants, Inc. has extensive experience in all aspects of the analysis of hydrology and coastal and river hydraulics, including summer and winter discharge measurements, freeze-up and break-up observations, extension of stream flow records, regional flood frequency analyses, wave analyses, and modeling of water surface profiles.
We have conducted sediment studies throughout Alaska, including suspended sediment and bedload sampling, river cross-section surveys, hydraulic design of bridges, river stability analyses, reservoir sedimentation, river morphology studies, and littoral transport studies. R&M Consultants, Inc. also can provide analysis of ice and coastal processes. The 1985 Bradley Lake Hydroelectric Project required design of more than a hundred culverts for nine miles of road, armored shore protection for much of the road system, and full marine design input relating to the dock and barge basin. We have accumulated thousands of man-hours of experience gathering, reducing, interpreting, and extrapolating hydrologic data, often from regions with little previous data. Our in-depth understanding and documentation of Alaska's water resources means a knowledgeable, cost-efficient approach to solving hydrologic and hydraulic problems.
