Since the late 1970s when we performed quality assurance inspections on several of the large Project ‘80s structures for the Municipality of Anchorage, R&M has been in the vanguard of special inspections. Our firm provided services in this developing field long before special inspection criteria were written into model building codes. Special inspections evolved from inspections called for in building codes as owners and building inspection departments began to see the improved quality and performance of inspected structures. Because of our extensive testing and QA/QC experience, R&M was often retained in the ‘90s by owners, structural engineers and architects to write special inspection programs for their projects. Currently adapted codes require the Engineer of Record to write the special inspection program. R&M brings 25 years of experience performing this and other tasks for special inspections.
R&M’s Special Inspection team is a very knowledgeable and dedicated team of experienced inspectors who take pride in seeing a project through to its successful completion. All of our Special Inspectors are individuals with highly developed skills who observe or inspect critical building structural features. R&M’s Special Inspectors are very knowledgeable of current building codes and inspection practices.
