R&M Consultants, Inc. has designed marine facilities for ports and harbors in every region of Alaska. These projects include a new heavy-cargo dock for the U.S. Navy on Amchitka, a barge landing facility for the Bradley Lake Hydroelectric project near Homer, and a passenger and cargo dock for the new U.S. Navy Submarine Testing Facility near Ketchikan. Of special note is the fact that R&M Consultants' structural engineering staff has been selected as the engineer-of-choice for the Port of Anchorage continuously since 1989. In addition, our staff has accomplished designs for numerous small boat harbors and facilities as well as their uplands areas.
Representative marine projects include a wide variety of marine facilities, docks, and harbors at locations in every region of Alaska. Most notable have been the firm's engineering designs for the Alyeska Pipeline Service Company's extensive Oil-Spill Response facility in Valdez, and the U.S. Navy's heavy-cargo dock facility on Amchitka Island. The City of Seward selected our firm to develop the design for a new cruise ship dock facility to expand the city's berthing and passenger/cargo capabilities. In addition, R&M Consultants, Inc. has been selected by the Port of Anchorage for their engineering services contract under term contract.
