R&M Consultants, Inc. is a well-established, employee-owned multi-discipline Alaskan firm. Over the past 39 years, R&M has participated in some of Alaska’s most significant and technically challenging civil infrastructure projects, such as the Trans Alaska Pipeline System, Seward Highway Canyon Creek Bridge, and the Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport Terminal C Redevelopment.

R&M is currently seeking a team-oriented special inspector to support expansion of our Special Inspection Group.

The Special Inspector will be responsible for performing inspection services to provide assurance that improvements are constructed in conformance with plans and specifications. The successful applicant will interact with contractor and owner with regard to out of specification conditions. The Special Inspector will also complete reports conforming to IBC Chapter 17 requirements noting any deficient work.

Minimum Qualifications

This position requires a minimum of two years of experience performing special inspections. Must maintain current ICC Special Inspector certifications in Spray-Applied Fireproofing, Structural Masonry, and Reinforced Concrete. All candidates should have good interpersonal abilities for working in a team environment and strong written and verbal communication skills. Must have a valid Alaska Drivers License.
