R&M Consultants, Inc. is a well-established, employee-owned multi-discipline Alaskan firm. R&M’s Earth Sciences Department is a leading provider of environmental and geotechnical professional services throughout Alaska.
R&M is seeking an individual who specializes in regulatory compliance and permitting, environmental impact analysis, and who potentially has experience relating to contaminated site work or environmental monitoring.
As a member of the R&M team, the Environmental Specialist will be accountable for providing exemplary personalized service to R&M’s many valued clients, each day functioning within an interdisciplinary environment that includes engineers, geologists, surveyors and other dedicated professionals. R&M distinguishes itself by providing high quality work products that meet the needs of our clients and facilitate their project goals and business targets. The successful applicant for this position should expect to put their talents in writing, research, interpersonal communication, field investigations, and data analysis to effective use within our existing client relationships. The Environmental Specialist must also be ready to broaden their area of expertise to remain responsive to new opportunities.
The successful applicant will be expected to represent R&M and actively participate in professional organizations and community activities.
Minimum Qualifications
This position requires a Bachelor’s degree in a natural science, engineering, or other related discipline. The ideal candidate will have five years of professional experience, be able to work in supervised or unsupervised settings, either alone or with group interaction, and will possess strong written and verbal communication skills and good interpersonal abilities.
