R&M Consultants, Inc. is a well-established, employee-owned multi-discipline Alaskan firm. Over the past 39 years, R&M has participated in some of Alaska’s most significant and technically challenging civil infrastructure projects, such as the Trans Alaska Pipeline System, Seward Highway Canyon Creek Bridge, and the Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport Terminal C Redevelopment.
R&M is currently seeking a team-oriented GIS Specialist to meet the evolving needs of our clients. The successful applicant would become a member of Alaska’s leading Surveying and Mapping Department.
As a member of the R&M team, the GIS Specialist would possess the ability to effectively communicate and work closely with individuals from a wide variety of backgrounds. The successful applicant must be able to interpret, analyze and create data to support GIS projects; and research, acquire, collate and reconcile spatial and non-spatial data from a variety of sources into effective maps, charts and reports.
The successful applicant will also be expected to represent R&M and actively participate in professional organizations and community activities.
Minimum Qualifications
This position requires three to five years of experience with ESRI and AutoCAD software. A B.A. or B.S. in civil engineering, geology, geomatics or a related field is preferred. All candidates should have good interpersonal skills for working in a dynamic team environment, and should possess strong written and verbal communication skills.
