Since the firm’s inception in 1969, R&M has steadily built a reputation as a leader in airport planning and design. R&M has provided engineering, geotechnical and surveying services for airports located in every region of Alaska. These airports have included larger facilities such as the Anchorage, Fairbanks and Juneau International Airports, as well as smaller regional and community airports. The scope-of-work on our projects has involved studies, design and construction support services for runways, taxiways, aprons, signage, lighting systems, hangar facilities and landside improvements.
R&M has received repeat contract awards from the Alaska Department of Transportation and Public Facilities and other agencies for performing location and planning studies for new airports and developing improvement designs for existing airports.
R&M offers multi-discipline services in support of transportation, planning, site-civil improvements, building structural design, environmental and geotechnical services, materials testing, and land and offshore surveying projects at Alaska’s airports.
